The Executive Team is made up of AV and solutions experts who come from a range of prominent universities, each bringing their unique expertise to various roles.

Solution Architect – University of Hertfordshire

Adam Harvey

Adam Harvey is Solution Architect – AV & Digital Media at the University of Hertfordshire as part of the IT Developments Team within the IT Services Department. Adam has been at the University of Hertfordshire for 28 years and has held a number of AV roles in that time.

Over his time at the University, Adam has been involved in delivering well over 700 AV projects, including work on 20 new buildings, ranging from ‘standard’ technology refreshes to innovative projects to change the way teaching and learning is delivered to students.

The most recent large projects to be completed have been the Enterprise Hub, a mix of social, learning and business incubation space and the UH Institute of Sport, a new purpose-built home of the University Sports Science Dept. Currently working on a new building for the School of Physics, Engineering & Computer Science. This continues the AV over IP ethos used in our New Science Building which was our first complete AV over IP deployment. This project generated a lot of interest across HE and the wider AV industry was shortlisted for a number of industry awards and won Education Project of the Year at the 2017 AV Awards.

Adam also won IT AV Manager of the Year at the 2018 AV Technology Europe Awards and End User Team of the Year at the 2019 AV Technology Europe Awards.

AV Manager – Loughborough University

Adam Harvey is Solution Architect – AV & Digital Media at the University of Hertfordshire as part of the IT Developments Team within the IT Services Department. Adam has been at the University of Hertfordshire for 28 years and has held a number of AV roles in that time.

Audio Visual Team Leader University of Cambridge Judge Business School

David Amann

Meet Dave Amann, the Audio Visual Team Leader at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School, with over 20 years of experience in the AV and IT technology realm. Beginning his career with a degree in Audio Technology and Music, he transitioned from the commercial AV sector to a pivotal post at the University of Cambridge, where he supported centrally timetabled AV systems before assuming his current role within the Business School.

Renowned as an ambassador for collaboration, standards, best practices, and UX, his professional credentials include the prestigious AVIXA CTS certification, along with memberships of professional bodies including the Institute of Sound, Communication & Visual Engineers, and the Institution of Engineering & Technology, attesting to his unwavering dedication to industry advancements and standards. Beyond his professional endeavours, Dave is a skilled photographer and videographer. In his leisure time, he enjoys playing the euphonium, riding his motorbike, and savouring whiskey—though never at the same time!

Head of AV Solutions – University of East Anglia

Matt North

Matt is the Head of AV Solutions at the University of East Anglia (UEA) in Norwich, where he has managed both the AV & IT infrastructure and the support services for over 240 learning and meeting spaces since 2017.

Over his time at the University, Adam has been involved in delivering well over 700 AV projects, including work on 20 new buildings, ranging from ‘standard’ technology refreshes to innovative projects to change the way teaching and learning is delivered to students. Matt is the Head of AV Solutions at the University of East Anglia (UEA) in Norwich, where he has managed both the AV & IT infrastructure and the support services for over 240 learning and meeting spaces since 2017.

Matt joined UEA in 2014 as Media Production & Support Technician, working with students in the University's TV Studio and producing video content for learning resources. Prior to joining Higher Education, he worked in television as both an Audio Operator & Location Sound Recordist, with credits including The One Show, Crimewatch & The Gadget Show amongst others.

Matt joined the LTSMG Exec after hosting the 2022 conference at UEA, the first in-person event since COVID. Matt holds a First Class Honours degree in Audio Production from the University of Lincoln and was selected to join InAVate Magazine's 40 Under 40 Class of 2022.
